DELTA PTO is for thermoplasticity plastic thread that developed German EJOT company.

The EJOT Altracs® thread is a proprietary thread design developed by EJOT in Germany, representing the most advanced form of thread geometry specially designed for thermoplastic materials. It is an improved version of the conventional PT® thread, already widely adopted in Europe and North America. By simply machining an appropriate hole in the plastic boss and fastening the screw, you can achieve 2 to 3 times greater reusability and approximately twice the loosening resistance compared to standard tapping screws. Experience the enhanced stability and efficiency that comes with this new generation of thread design.

Further developed flank angles

  • 30° -> 20° -> 140° -> 180° (Vertical direction) four angles are hidden in one thread.
  • Optimised pitch / helix angle
  • Reinforced core diameter
  • Improved head geometry
Results

CauseResult
Minimizes damage to the counterpart material with a smaller cross-sectional area

Dramatically improves reusability

Takes into account the material flow caused by deformation of the counterpart in advance
Minimizes deformation of the boss, increases resistance to loosening, and provides strong tensile rebound force
Provides efficient distribution of force through the screw angle
Allows application of higher tightening torque
Applies an optimal pitch that considers the strength of the counterpart material
Strengthens torque resistance through reinforcement of the root diameter area
Reinforces the root diameter area

DELTA PT® VS PT®

  • Narrow PITCH
  • Many angles in thread
  • Thicker shape of screw

DELTA PT® vs TAPPING

  • Big PITCH
  • 30° vs 60°
  • High Thread

Design recommendation

  • Recommended boss geometry
  • d1 = nominal screw diameter
  • dB = boss outside-ø
  • dC = counterbore-ø
  • dh = hole-ø
  • di = insertion depth
  • Optimization by the EJOTdprognosis program
※ The above information serves as a general guideline for standard applications.
For ultra-small screws or special resin materials, a separate detailed review is required.
